Peter WhiteJazz Guitarist
Technical StuffPeter White played an Ovation nylon string guitar with internal pickups. He used the guitar both wired and wireless, hooked up to an effects device on stage (sorry, I didn't get a peek at what it was). Peter was accompanied by electronic keyboards, drums, bass, and a sax/flute player (Gregg Vail). He brought his own engineer (Robin) to mix front of house... [whimper, whimper]. ReviewI'm always impressed when somebody as professional as Peter White turns out to be a heck of a nice person, too. His playing was superb! The band was phenomenal. I don't necessarily think that it's always a great thing when an artist sounds just like his albums, but Peter managed to do that, and at the same time, put on a great show. A resounding standing ovation waited for him to do an encore at the end of his show. He appreciatively obliged. He was very gracious with the staff as well as the audience, and stuck around after the show to sign autographs until everyone was satisfied. This concert tour was in promotion of his new album. I highly recommend that you go out and get it.
